You’ll find us on the second highest hill of Turku called Kakolanmäki. The spa is located in the countryard of the gray granite castle, deep inside the rock, where you will find 2,500 square meters dedicated to relaxation.

Admission for children over 14 is according to the regular price list. We also have a gym available for our spa guests.
Note: The age limit for the spa is 18 years every day after 5PM and all day on saturdays.

Location and arrival
Kakola Spa is located in Turku, on a hill called Kakola, Kakolanmäki in Finnish. The hill is known for its colourful history as Finland’s toughest prison. Prison activities at Kakola ended in 2007, and since then the area has been developed into a modern neighbourhood proud of its history.
In addition to the spa, Kakola offers a wide range of services such as Hotel Kakola, two restaurants, a sourdough bakery, a coffee roastery, a brewery and its taproom, a hair and beauty salon and a souvenir shop selling also products made in the prisons of today. Kakola Spa is situated in the inner courtyard of the former prison, within the depths of the rock.
